There are many things you need to think about when putting together a good solid and effective landing page. I thought I would take the time to write out a checklist for what to include on your sales page. Hopefully, this will help you out.

First things first, here is a basic landing page checklist of the main aspects to include on your landing pages:

1.Headline:

Your headline has to clearly define the benefit to a prospect of purchasing your product or service. It is best to use a single keyword as your headline for both the body of content promotion as well as the links in your social media. Hero images: You need to have at least one hero image supporting your offer within your headline. This goes a long way towards making sure that your potential buyers really know what you are offering them.

2.Body of Content:

The body of your sales page checklist must be a very strong promotion of what you are promoting. Use strong copy to get your point across. Make sure it incorporates all the benefits of what you are promoting and have them in a logical order. Use a lead capture form at the end of the post. Your headline and body of content promotion will drive traffic to your opt-in page.

3.Social Media Links:

Links within your social media promotions are critical. They create a connection between you and your potential customer. It also helps to establish credibility. The more social media links you have, the better. Having links that connect with your homepage will greatly improve your conversions.

4.Internal Linking:

To maximize your landing pages, you must have internal links to your website and blog. It is essential to create links from within your posts. These internal links will help your readers to take action and connect with you. Internal links create credibility and trust within your customers. They will feel confident that you can provide them with the information they need to convert.

5.Contrasting Color Combinations:

When you are promoting your product or service, it is important that you create eye-catching headlines. Research shows that the act of reading the headline makes or breaks a person’s first impression of an item or service. If a reader skims the headline then they won’t waste time reading your copy. You want to create compelling headlines that grab your visitor’s attention. This will convert into more conversions.

6.Making Your Landing Page Beautiful:

Landing pages that are not attractive and optimized for conversion are viewed the same as poorly constructed websites. Visitors will feel disinterested and bounce out of your site before leaving a bad experience. You want your visitors to feel as comfortable as possible with your page. Keep in mind that you want to capture their interest, but at the same time make them look around and explore. A disinterested visitor will quickly leave your site and look for another company.

7.Be Persistent With The Lead Capture Form:

When prospects visit your website, you want them to stay longer and explore. However, this can be difficult if you have a boring, cluttered landing page. It is important that you provide enough information about your product or service. You also want your visitor to contact you via email. Provide a lead capture form with your contact information and an opt-in box for your product/service.

8.Use The Correct Relevancy:

All landing pages should be similar to each other and the same as the rest of your site. This will increase visitors’ confidence and they will be more likely to click on your link. You will be able to test various phrases and words to see which ones bring in the most traffic and generate the most responses. Using the correct keyword and link phrases will greatly improve your conversion rates.

9.Integrate Social Proof:

You can use social proof to gain the trust of your visitors. Ask your visitors to share your page with their friends. As you send them to a landing page, ask them what would make them want to visit your page. Look at the links in your resource box and see if they all link to the same page. If they do not, you may need to change your strategy to include more links.

10.Include A Call-To-Action:

You should always have a call-to-action leading to your landing page. You should also include some sort of message encouraging your visitors to take action. Some good examples of call-to-action are: “Sign up to receive updates”, “Check out our latest products” and “Download your copy.”
